Mission

The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) is the non-profit manager and real estate developer of the Brooklyn Navy Yard (the Yard), a 220-year-old industrial site owned by the City of New York. The Yard is home to 450+ businesses employing 11,000+ people and generating over $2.5 billion per year in economic impact for the City. BNYDC manages and develops the 300-acre campus and helps modern manufacturing companies grow and scale their business while also developing programs that ensure local resident's economic opportunities with Yard-based businesses.
